What Made Clearabee Win the Multimillion pound contract with Co-op
Nation-wide coverage
The Co-operative Group is the largest mutual business in the United Kindom and a major player in the food retail business and funeral care service industry. The group runs over 4,500 stores, 2,500 of which are retail stores. They also have 1,000 funeral homes, employ over 90,000 staff across their businesses and provide services to millions of consumers nationwide. Clearabee, on the other hand, has a 250 people workforce and fleet of 100 vehicles spread across the country.
The partnership with both companies makes sense seeing that they both have ground workforce servicing their customers in all locations in the country. It is expected that Clearabee will make over 5,000 trips a year to collect garbage on each of Co-op’s retail and funeral care business locations.
Unplanned waste removal service
Collecting waste on demand using an all in-house labour and transportation is perhaps another main reason why Clearabee won the tender. The rubbish removalist offers on-demand services that feature man and van, bulk waste collection on skip bags and sacks and a streamlined online ordering system and can, therefore, facilitate efficient waste removal for all Co-op stores and location.
Co-op businesses will not only rely on emergency rubbish collection from the company but will also benefit from the skip bags, and sacks for regular garbage dumping. Once the skips are full, Clearabee gets notified through their online order request platform and subsequently deploy man and van services to clear the rubbish.
Recycling Policy
Both Co-op and Clearabee are enthusiastic about recycling waste. Clearabee’s policy on recycling aligns with Co-op’s continued effort to manage the amount of plastic they produce and dispose of.
According to Clearabee recycling journey, every waste they collect is assessed to determine whether its suitable for recycling or upcycling.
The rubbish removals company then delivers the recyclable rubbish to either one of their licensed waste transfer stations. This system ensures the plastic from Co-op achieves 100% landfill diversion thus reducing carbon emission from their waste.
Conclusion
Clearabee in-house services, nationwide coverage, reactive rubbish removal services, and strong recycling policy are perhaps some of the crucial reasons why they were awarded this tender. This contract is one of the biggest deals in the company’s history.
