You can now easily and effectively add a new level and appeal to the exposed aggregate pool deck with the glow in the dark concrete sealer. These stone accents and glowing medium can be applied just the way any other decorative aggregates are added such as tumbled recycled glass and sea shells. Sealing the aggregate concrete pavement with these will not only add life to the path but will also keep it glowing at nights requiring no electric lights that are often cumbersome a sore to the eyes. But to make these sealers look exceptionally good, you must make sure that the stones are properly exposed.
Exposing stones chemically
Exposing the stones is very crucial as that will bring out the real effect of the glowing stones. Proper exposing will ensure that these stones capture light from the sun and store more of it properly to glow at night. There are two ways for exposing the glow stones and the chemical exposure seems to be most popular method. Spray the light retarding agent on the stones gently. Leave for some time to acts on the top of the stones and then pressurewash it off. This will expose the surface of the stones without requiring much effort.
Do it mechanically
If you wish you can also expose the glow stones mechanically. However, this process of exposing the stones is more labor intensive. You will need to use a diamond-laden polishing pad. These pads can be mounted on handheld polishers or a heavy-duty concrete floor polishing machine. These polishing pads will chip off the top surface of the concrete and expose the glow stones. This process is best suited for indoor applications to provide the desired finish to the surface. Spa tubs, concrete pools and other interior places are best suited for this application.
